A Trip to Art Main

Art Main is one of my favorite stores in town!
Way back in early June, my daughter and I visited the store and bought new pencils, pens and such to experiment with.  This trip I bought some gray colored Artist tiles among my usual things.

Once home, I made these.
The white Faber Castell chalk pencil was fun to use on the gray tiles.

I've been busy tangling again and hope to show a few examples soon.
Until another time, have a happy and creative day!

Vintage Garage Sale Finds

My folks came up a few weekends ago and we did some garage sales together.
I was lucky enough to find these nifty little items.

A cute little S&P set that are grain elevators!  I've seen these at the flea market before, but they are always a bit out of my budget.  Good things come to those who wait!  After cleaning them up a bit they turned out pretty cute.

I also found some small US flags at the same sale.

Also found a few goodies for the daycare.  All in all it was a good day of "sale-ing"
That's all for today!  Until next time have a happy vintage day!

Vintage Sewing Kit

Way back in May, my Uncle Stan called me and asked me to stop by next time I was in the neighborhood, he had something to give me.
He had 3 or 4 little sewing kits and let me have my pick of the litter.
I chose wisely.

Squeeeeeee!  Look at the cute little spools of thread and the cute little scissors!

I found another one on EBAY and they say it is from the 1950s (they want 40$ for that one) and over the past few months have only seen this other one on line that is BLUE, most seem to be red.
Mine looks pretty identical, except it's missing the white, ribbon bow and mine has a yellow, plastic thimble! So, I think I have all of the pieces to my kit, which is nice to know.
Here is the one from EBAY (below).

He even gave me this pack of needles (made in England!)  Thanks Uncle Stan!

That's all for today!  Until another time have a happy stitchy day!

Tea Pot Serviette

This is a pattern I found on Pinterest a while back, but I think it might originally be from a site called Turkey Feathers?  I'm really not sure, but it sure is a cutie!

First, I had to hem two of the sides of the serviette.

And that's all for today!  Have a happy creative day!
