Lilac Towel #2

Another Lilac Towel?!  Yes.
This one I also started two weekends ago after finding this ric-rack for 50 cents at JoAnns.  It's such a pretty, lilac color!

This DMC 155 seems to match the Ric Rack perfectly!

A loooong time back, I found this picture on the internet.  Unfortunatly, I don't remember whose blog or site it was from, but I loved the way the towel came to a point with the design in the center.  After a bit of playing around with different shaped towels, I figured out how to make one.

I cut a regular flour sack towel into a 17.5x17.5 square, then hemmed up the sides.
I tacked on the ric-rack and eventually sewed it on by hand with DMC 155.

Then I had to decide which lilac pattern to use.

I like this one, but it seemed a bit TOO fancy to go with the ric-rack.

This one seems just right (without the NH Lilac wording)
I'll keep you posted on my progress!
